Executive Bios

Neil Denney, Partner and Co-Founder

As an electronic design engineer, specializing in high-speed digital communications, Mr. Denney has enjoyed a distinguished and diverse career in the global telecommunications and enterprise-wide networking technology sectors. From 1997 up until the launch of Acasta in September 1999, Neil was a Partner and co-founder of Netgain LLC, a top tier network performance improvement consulting firm. During his time spent with the company, Mr. Denney was responsible for overseeing all global telecommunication and enterprise-wide networking consulting engagements.

Before joining Netgain LLC in 1997, Mr. Denney served as Vice President of LYNX Technologies, Inc., a professional services firm specializing in international telecom design, implementation and operation. Neil led the Professional Services Group with overall responsibility for all consulting engagements. Representative engagements included designing and procuring the ground based network for a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Satellite Communications Firm, outsourcing an international network for a major Pharmaceuticals Company, and the US Department of Justice’s project to investigate a proposed acquisition of an interest in Sprint by France Telecom and Deutsche Bundepost Telekom.

Prior to Lynx, Mr. Denney worked for France Telecom, the world’s fifth largest telecommunications services firm. During his early years in the telecommunications industry, Neil worked with British Telecom as a Commercial Manager for Eastern Europe, and held two positions as a Senior Design Engineer for two multinational, European corporations. Neil holds a BS in Electronic Engineering from the University of Southampton, England, a MS in Digital Systems from Brunel University, London, England, and a MBA from the London Business School.

Jonathan Ogilvie, Partner, Co-Founder

Mr. Ogilvie brings to Acasta over 20 years of Information Technology and international telecommunications network consulting management experience. His extensive background in complex technology business development and marketing strategies for both global institutions as well as small, new business ventures makes him uniquely suited to shape and implement Acasta’s goals and objectives.

Prior to founding Acasta, Jonathan served as a Senior Vice President at Technology and Business Integrators, Inc., a management consulting firm specializing in outsourcing, IT strategy development and IT metrics. Leading the definition and development of client solutions, Jonathan’s successes include developing and implementing a Program Management Office to manage multiple vendors providing over $750 million in IT services to a major banking institution. Mr. Ogilvie also assisted an Investment Bank with the acquisition of resources to provide desktop support for the bank’s 60,000 end users.

Between 1995 and 1998, Mr. Ogilvie was Vice President, Lynx Technologies, Inc., and he was responsible for all new business development. During his time at Lynx, Jonathan increased revenues over 50% by developing a new consulting practice based upon contract price benchmarks and network services procurement and outsourcing capabilities.

Prior to Lynx, Jonathan was Vice President, Sales and Marketing for ITS, the international network integration division of SITA, a $900 million global corporation. At ITS, Mr. Ogilvie developed and ran all marketing, sales and new business development. Jonathan began his career at British Telecom in London holding a number of sales and account management positions ending his 11 years at British Telecom in New York as Vice President and Director of Marketing for North America. Jonathan holds a BSc from Brookes University, Oxford, England.
